DEBUT: LENNY & THE PISS POOR BOYS – LEAVING IN THE MORNING [Nine Bullets]
Today is a very big day for me as I get to announce the pre-order for one of my favorite records on the planet, the re-release of Lenny and the Piss Poor Boys’ self-titled album. The album will be released towards the end of November on LP, CD, as a Deluxe Set, and digitally. The pre-order will go down on Friday, October 7th through our store at Shopradiocast. Pre-ordering the album will get you an automatic download of the record.
Today, our friends at Nine Bullets have debuted an mp3 from the record, “Leavin in the Morning”, a song you more than likely know from Drag the River’s cover of the song on “It’s Crazy”. Most people assume, as I once did, that this was originally a Drag the River song when in fact, the song was originally a Lenny and the Piss Poor Boys song. Visit the link above to check out the track and to read more about this record as Nine Bullets links to a guest post I wrote in early 2009 about the record and about my dream to re-release the record on Suburban Home. It only took 2 and a half years to make this dream a reality.
The LP will be pressed in an edition of 1,000 copies (333 on White, 667 on Blood Red). The Deluxe Set will feature an LP, a CD, a coozie, a pint glass, and a button. There will only be 100 Deluxe Sets for Sale. Regardless of which way you pre-order the album, you will receive an automatic download of the record.
Lenny and the Piss Poor Boys “S/t” was originally released on CD by Lude Boy Records. The album has been out of print for a few years now. I feel very lucky to re-release the album and finally have a copy of the album on vinyl.
